•   The Island Tour allows you to visit some of Lefkada’s most stunning sights, starting with the visit of the ruins of the castle “Santa Maura”, the sentinel that guarded the island against the Venetians, Turks and Italians. Many holiday visitors like to tour the castle walls and bastions, a walk best enjoyed at sunset with views over Lefkada town and the lagoon.
Together with our tourist guide, we’ll make an incursion in the history of the castle and his importance for the island.
  • We cannot miss from our tour the famous Monastery of Faneromeny, which stands in the green pine wood, just above the capital city of the island – Lefkada.
Tradition says that, the place where the monastery was built, was originally a temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis, made from the finest white marble. According to the sources, a priest of Agia Sophia started to pray for inspiration to paint an icon of Saint Mary, the image of Panagia had already appeared on the wood, this miracle being the reason of the given name of “Faneromeny” – “The Revealed”.
For this reason, the monastery is one of the most significant monuments of the island.
  • Next stop will be in the small and traditional village of Agios Nikitas, where we’ll make a stop to discover the village, have a cup of Greek coffee or take a quick swim in the clear sea of the bay.
  • Our last stop, the longest, will be the amazing and so famous beach of Kathisma, one of the biggest and well organized on the islands.
One of the longest beaches of Lefkada with fine white sand and clear, sparkling waters.
The cliffs surrounding the beach gives it a feeling of isolated paradise, creating a superb, dramatic scenery.
Here, we will enjoy a relaxing sunbathing and a refreshing swim in the cool, turquoise waters.
